Twitter’s CEO looking for crypto engineers!

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and Square, is looking for crypto engineers to work for full time.

According to the recent tweets from the CEO Jack Dorsey posted on Wednesday evening, Square plans to hire three or four crypto engineers, along with a designer, in order to work full-time for a new project under the payment startup Square.

Prior to this tweet, Jack Dorsey announced the launch of Square Crypto, as an initiative that will focus on “making the broader crypto ecosystem better”. Based in San Francisco, California, Square is a financial services, merchant services aggregator, and mobile payments company. The company already allows users to buy and sell Bitcoin on its Cash App thanks to its long-time Bitcoin proponent CEO.

As per his announcement on Twitter, Jack asked Square’s strategic development lead at Square, Mike Brock, “what is the most impactful thing we [Square] could do for the bitcoin community?” That conversation gave birth to Square Crypto. According to Dorsey:

Furthermore, Jack Dorsey believes that adding a designer is crucial and essential if we are speaking about large accessibility.

Dorsey’s move comes after Square’s Cash App, recorded high Bitcoin sales ( $52 Million in Q4 2018). The need for more accessibility in terms of crypto seems obvious to Square. It seems that the company is eying this opportunity in order to achieve its goal of a “more accessible global financial system for the internet.”
