NiceHash: the world’s largest crypto-mining marketplace that connects buyers and sellers on the same platform, has officially released the date in which it will payback the individuals who were impacted by the hacking attack that the company has suffered from on December 6, 2017.
Back when the breach happened:
As soon as getting their payment system was compromised and the contents of the NiceHash Bitcoin wallet had been stolen, the company freezed operations for 24 hours while it conducted a full investigation to figure out exactly how much had been stolen and how it was taken.
The company recommended that it’s better for its users to change their passwords on all different services following this breach and it apologized for the inconvenience this caused some people.
A promise to reimburse its users:
The company continues to prove that it’s an actual leader in this market by making not only a promise to periodically repay the ones who got financially affected by the fraudulent act, but also it prepared and posted a detailed repayment program for its internal and external wallet users.
The Repayment program will start on Friday, February 2, 2018, and will initially refund 10% of the old balance amount to all users that were affected by the security breach.
